Growing Family

I bought the latest Hyper Detail Molding series’ Ultraman Zero on Easter Weekend:

The family is still growing. Slowly, but still growing.

Eh, what the heck. I’ll show off my current Kamen Rider figurine collection, too:

Bought Ultimate Kuuga earlier today. Even in SD form he looks deadly!

Christmas 2009 – Winter Snow of 2008

It’s December, which means that Christmas season has officially begun. Similar to Halloween, I’m going to post a series of entries relating to the holiday… except not cram everything in one day which was stupid. So without further ado…

Those who live in the Pacific will remember that last year we had very heavy snow (up to knee-high!), the first in about ten years. It was both good and bad at the same time (with bad traffic and whatnot), but it was fun having a White Christmas.

Winter 2008

I would really like to have heavy snow again… but maybe 20% less. (or 200% more, as Thomas -of CHASE- had said)

Early Christmas Decorations

Took these photos on Friday. I’m pretty surprised at how there are already Christmas light decorations when it has not been exactly a week since Halloween.

You can’t really see it because the cellphone’s lighting sucks, but even today this house still has its leftover spiderweb decorations from Halloween.

This house has some neat alternating red-and-green light flashing.

Earlier today I noticed some text art pasted onto a few restaurants’ windows (“Happy New Year” “Season’s Greetings”) but I wasn’t able to take pictures of them, mostly because I was in a car and I just noticed the art right before I passed them.

(I should really open a Flickr account)

Halloween 2009 – Costumes

Something quick and random.

Taken from last year, my animation teacher dressed up as Darth Vader, which was a very interesting sight (he even scared a few people in a class). A few years ago he dressed up as Darth Maul. The teacher’s an avid fan of Star Wars like me. :)

Taken from last year, here’s me at a friend’s house being a very failed reject of Jason Voorhees. Basically I was fooling around with one of his bike helmets and hockey sticks.

Reita (bassist of the GazettE) in LEECH era

If I were to have a “true” Halloween costume, I want to look like that, but it would mean growing my hair long and temporarily dying it (or hairspraying it) and get the costume custom-made/sewn.

While still on the subject of Halloween costumes…

Rinoa Heartilly of Final Fantasy VIII

This girl at my school dressed up as a variation of Rinoa Heartilly yesterday for the school’s Halloween-themed Spirit Day… well, I think it was Rinoa since the costume is not exactly like the FF heroine and I can’t think of any other character she’s trying to be. Other than that, I thought she looked hot very attractive. I would have taken a picture but I don’t really know the person therefore it would be awkward and creepy (like as if I’m a stalker).

Cannibalism & Clothes

What kind of crazy kid would want to strip and eat people?

“Last, he Dar Side i your a y.”

I was going through old photos a few nights ago and stumbled upon this:

LAST, HE DAR SIDE I YOUR A Y.

LAST, HE DAR SIDE I YOUR A Y.

So back in January, Lance and I were at our local mall’s supermarket’s electronics section. At that time Star Wars: The Force Unleashed was still kind of big (4 months after it was released) so it was on a PS3 demo for play. We discovered that the PS3 was frozen when we were there, resulting a weird glitch in the game’s cutscene captions.

Anyone want to guess what it’s trying to say? Answer’s in the comments.

TAROS

Deneb, Kin, Momo, Ura, Ryu

The Best Boy Band Male Vocal Group Ever.

And I’m surprised at how well Momotaros can sing.

Here’s the download link to the music video.

Super Hero Time! – America Edition

Random images are, well, random.

Super Hero Time 2009

It's Super Hero Time!

Partly inspired by this.

For those who don’t know, in Japan, Super Hero Time is basically an hour-long morning TV block for children broadcasting Japanese Power Rangers Super Sentai and Kamen Rider. Before the block starts there’s always a quick intro segment, which you can find neat examples here.

About Me

Hi. I am Kevin Wong, alternately known as "Kay". Some might recognize me from the good old days of UltramanLAH! before I suddenly disappeared (although I still do go there) and am currently the moderator of tokuAsia's forum. This is just a public blog of mine, and an extension of my personal site (http://kaychase.webs.com) where I post whatever I feel like writing about, whether it's interesting things I see around me, dorky things like Tokusatsu, or just plain life in general. So later, everyone!
